About Darshan University

Darshan University Rajkot was originally established as Darshan Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2009, by Shri G.N Patel Education and Charitable Trust. It was transformed into the Darshan University in 2021 through an Act by the Government of Gujarat under Gujarat State Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2021 (Act no. 15). All its courses are approved by AICTE.

Darshan University Rajkot Courses include diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, management, and science. Diploma courses are offered in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, and Computer engineering. UG courses include B.Tech in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Digital forensic, and Computer engineering, BCA, BBA, B.Com, and B.Sc in IT and Microbiology.

The PG courses include M.Tech in Software engineering, Structural engineering, Transportation engineering, Thermal engineering, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc in IT and Microbiology. There are 5 separate institutes viz. School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science, School of Diploma Engineering, and School of Computer Science.

Darshan University Rajkot Campus is spread across 21 acres of land and is wi-fi enabled, and has 7 academic buildings in a 3 lakh sq. ft area. The campus has a cafeteria, laboratories, a well-stocked library, and sports facilities. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with fully-furnished AC and Non AC rooms. There is a transportation service too.

Darshan University Rajkot Placement cell is well networked with more than 100 universities. It has a placement record of more than 90% every year. Project-based learning is encouraged to ensure that the students get practical knowledge. Darshan University Campus Facilities and Infrastructure

Darshan University Rajkot Campus is wifi-enabled and is spread across 21 acres of lush green land. It has 7 academic buildings built on a 3 lakh+ sq ft. area. More than 50 classrooms are there with LCD projectors. 3 World-class auditoriums and 8 audio-visual rooms are there. For transportation, the university employs more than 50 GPS-enabled buses. The placement officials, like the academic staff, are highly dedicated and experienced.

There are more than 75 laboratories equipped with industry-graded instruments. 7 of them are accredited by NABL. In fact, it is the only university in Gujarat with the maximum number of NABL accredited laboratories.

Membership of British library, DELNET, National digital library of India

The library has more than 27,000 books and more than 200 journals.

Cafeteria and sports facilities. More than 10 hobby clubs are there.

It has separate hostels for boys and girls which can accommodate more than 600 students. There are fully furnished AC and Non AC rooms, with beds, wardrobes, study tables, lockers, etc. 24×7 CCTV surveillance is maintained for security. There is a food court, mess, laundry, and ATM on the hostel premises.

Darshan University Scholarships

Darshan University Rajkot provides the following scholarships to the eligible students:-

MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swalamban Yojana)

Eligibility: Student must have secured 80 or more Percentile in the 10th / 12th exam and family income must be less than Rs. 6 lakh/annum.

Amount of Scholarship:

For Degree Engineering: Rs. 50,000/- or 50% of tuition fees whichever is less.

For Diploma Engineering: Rs. 25,000/- or 50% of tuition fees whichever is less.

For B.Com./BBA/BCA/B.Sc.: Rs. 10,000/- or 50% of tuition fees whichever is less.

Scholarships for Scheduled Caste Candidates

Eligibility: Students must belong to SC or ST category and family income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/annum.

Amount of Scholarship: Approximately 100% of tuition fees as per Government norms.

Post-Metric Scholarship

Eligibility: The student must belong to SEBC/NT/DNT category and family income must be less than Rs. 2,00,000/annum.

Amount of Scholarship: As per Government norms up to Rs. 50,000/-.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

Under the TFW scheme, students do not have to pay the tuition fee (Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 approx.) at SFI Institutes.
5% of total seats shall be filled by the TFW scheme, e.g. 60 seats than 3 seats shall be filled by TFWS.
Students whose parent's income is less than Rs. 8 lakh/annum are eligible for TFWS.
TFW scheme shall be applicable for the complete duration of the course (4 Years).
To get the benefits of the TFW Scheme, the candidate has to submit the income certificate issued after 31st March from either 'Mamlatdar' or ''Taluka Development Officer (TDO)' or 'Collector (Jan Seva Kendra)' at the time of application form filling (registration for admission).
No other document shall be considered valid (e.g. Income tax return, Certificate issued by 'Sarpanch', etc.).
